The University of Michigan Engage is a website that provides access to clinical research throughout the University. It is billed as the “One-stop shopping site for people who want to help medicine move forward by participating in clinical research at the University of Michigan.”
This website basically has two aspects, one for the volunteers to recruit themselves as clinical subjects and the other for the researchers to find volunteers to participate in their studies. My team, Team RENEU is handling the researcher side of this website. We are evaluating this website as part of our course “Evaluation of Systems and Services”. All user interface and interaction techniques like contextual inquiry, heuristic evaluations (Nielson’s Heuristics), scenario and persona creation, comparative evaluation, user testing etc. are being applied.
For complete and up to date information on the project along with project artifacts, please check the RENEU team website .
Roles that I play:
- User Experience Professional
- System Evaluator
